Did you hear that!? I think my plate just cracked!
I’m really not surprised. I mean, I am the one that keeps loading it up unaware of it’s weight limit. But, can I ask you one simple question??
How am I supposed to know when my plate is too full???
Yes, I have a lot going on. I always do. That seems to be who I have been for quite a few years now. But, how am I supposed to chase my dream if I don’t go as hard as I can at it?
I’ll be the first to admit I have a lot of pots cooking on the stove, but they are all my favorite things so, how do I decide which one to toss out or put away to have later?
The one thing I can say is that I’m doing as I have prayed to do…live a life completely submerged in the author life in some form or another. I am able to work on my writing projects every day. I am able to bring on new clients and keep up with my already established ones for my consulting/coaching business for authors and creatives. I am doing everything I can to support an author organization I believe in. Recently, I decided to go back to earning a regular paycheck and now work in a bookstore…dream job right there!!
While you look at that list and go… “Wow! That’s a lot going on in her life!”… I won’t disagree with you, but as of right now, I’ve been able to balance it all pretty well. Yes, my plate has a bit of pile on it, but until I’m shown a new direction or a way to combine some of these things or to get rid of one of them completely, this is my life. This is who I am and because it all revolves around writing, this also means for the first time in a long time I am always able to breath when in the midst of any of the author/book stuff.
So, what’s the point of this blog exactly??
Well, I’ll tell you. The point is to give you an example of what doing a lot can look like. It can have a negative effect as quick as taking the next breath or it can be a positive endeavor that provides you with a lot of amazing growth if you let it.
